Homelessness Dashboard Project Background
In November 2019, the Austin City Council expressed a need for a tool to visualize data representing the current state of homelessness in Austin. The City of Austin’s Office of Design & Delivery (ODD) and the Communications and Public Information Office (CPIO) partnered to build a dashboard that achieved this goal. The City of Austin released the Homelessness Dashboard in August 2020.
Homelessness Dashboard Usability test details
I was asked to conduct the remote moderated usability test with 8 Austin residents to improve the dashboard content, data stories, UI, and user flow during the pandemic.
